:)The second year students of UCC's Drama and Theatre Studies degree are presenting a production of Frank McGuinness' Mary and Lizzie. This is the first time this play has ever been produced in Cork. The play will run from November 29th to December 3rd (inclusive) at the Granary Theatre, Cork. Tickets cost 5 euro (for students and the unwaged) or 10 euro. The play opens at 8pm, and tickets can be booked through the Granary box office at 021-4904275:)

:)Cork Premiere of Mary and Lizzie:)

"Tightly woven, complex and ambitious...one of McGuinness' most complicated and accomplished plays"
Frank McGuinness’ picaresque fantasy follows Mary and Lizzie Burns on a meandering series of adventures. In a whirlwind of fact and fiction, they encounter such historical giants as Karl Marx, Frederick Engels and Queen Victoria. The play runs the gamut from the depths of the underworld to the heights of polite society. McGuinness's romp through 19th century history will take audiences on a riotous journey through despair and heartbreak, passion and laughter.
“Listen to the world changing. Listen to the world ending.” Lizzie Burns:)
