    1) send it all to gmail as desktop.zip

    2) burn dvds with your data

    3) copy all your data on 32 GB usb sticks or smth

    4) last time i had the same problem and i transferred all to my mates computer via lan and then just copied back ;]

You could make a partition on your existing drive. I presume your C: is where Windows is installed (assuming you are using Windows :) ).
    • Create a partition for your backup
    • Copy your data to the new partition
    • Install Windows on original partition i.e. C:
    • When Windows is installed, either leave your data on the new partition or copy what you need back on to the original one.

Just out of curiousity more than anything else, why do you need to re-install Windows?

Ah, I see. I would recommend getting an external hard disk drive. They're quite cheap and very useful, and when you've re-installed Windows you could use it for keeping regular backups of all your software and data. Which is of course should be standard practice and is what everyone is already doing. :P

However, could we help you remove the trojans instead of re-installing Windows? Formatting the drive would clear it, but you'd have to be very careful that the trojan isn't copied along with any data that you transfer to the new install. Perhaps nailing the problem now, completely, would be more prudent, and you can re-install to your heart's content later. But it's up to you. :)

buy a 20gb drive second hand for a fiver and installl a fresh copy of windows onto that.
plug the current drive in as a second hard disk. delete e:/windows etc and run a virus scan on the drive.
thats the easiest way i would imagine...

its not if you plan ahead :)
only install windows on its own partition, i usually use 30GB for 7 or vista.
then you can reinstall and wipe whenever you like

when you install windows you have an option to "divide" your hdd on two so on 1 physical drive you will have 2 (C: and D: for ex)

if you havent done that then this is the reason for your trouble

Use a Kasperskey boot key would be my suggestion, there's a good chance that'll allow you to clean the system.
