gas boiler

    wondering if anyone can help?? rads werent heating up fully so i bled them earlier, then when i put heating on gas boiler was making strange noises & cutting out???

    Any air that was taken out will have affected the system pressure if the system is sealed. Let the system cool down, top up the pressure and if needed bleed the rads again but always with the system cool.

    A filling loop will be located on or near the boiler, they generally have a flexi pipe attached with an on / off tap something like this

    cant see a filling loop but theres a yellow on /off tap at bottom of boiler,would this be it ? do i adjust it when boiler is on or off?

    kccfc, that sounds like the gas valve for the boiler, pics or boiler model would help.

    cant get pic up, it says mini s24 as model number,"ideal" is on outside of boiler..

    Whats the system pressure and there must be a filling loop somewhere. Generally it`s near the boiler usually on the pipework to the boiler.

    Kccfc, this sounds like exactly the same problem I have now.

    Is it a difficult job to top up the pressure? Think the filling loop is in my attic as well as I remember a plumber up there before when the boiler was being serviced.
