Is the iPad 1 still available to buy?

    Hi, I want to buy an ipad but the ipad2 is a bit costly so just wondering are the
    original ipads still available to buy as i cannot see them on the apple store.

    Adverts.ie. got a mint 16gb 3G for a friend yesterday for 300quid. Plenty of them about and 300 is about the price for a boxed, perfect condition, and in some cases, a bit of warranty remaining. All the above presumes you've no issue with 2nd hand product.

    With Apple, I'd always recommend buying the current model. They've a habit of restricting features (like Siri, Game Center etc) to the newest devices.

    Theres a refurbished reseller on ebay called digigood.

    I got a 32gb wifi only ipad 1 back in september for €345 delivered.
    Same one year warranty as with apples refurbs,very happy with it.
    Was looking for another one for my girlfriend for xmas but even his stock of ipad 1's are non existent.
    Try for a refurb ipad 2 off them,some are listed as new,these a refurbs,whats listed as BRAND new are just that,brand new.
    Theres buy it now prices & also auctions.

    I'd steer clear of an ipad1. I find that apps are always crashing on mine nowadays. I think the newer apps are designed with the ipad2 hardware in mind.

    If I were you i'd stump up for the ipad2.....that or wait for ipad3

    Harvey norman swords have ipad 1 32gb with 3g for 479 and the 64gb wifi for same price i got the 32 gb today didnt look like they had many left
