Moss cleaned off roof of my house

I had my house roof cleared of moss a few weeks back by three guys, as had several of my neighbours. I'm in the North side of town. They did a reasonable job but left quite a bit of moss in my gutters which needed cleaning afterwards.

The were a bit dodgy-looking to be honest, and were offering to fix my loose ridge-tiles for another €300. I declined this offer but a few neighbours went for it.

Anyone have any experience of this outfit? They did a good job of getting the moss off my roof but I'd hesitate to recommend them, going on my gut instinct.

What outfit? Your description - 3 guys & a bit dodgy looking isn't the best.

Three guys, mid-30's driving a red van. Had to use my garden hose as theirs had the wrong connection. Not anxious to say where exactly they are from. That's about the best I can describe them, but they did seem dodgy. Not exactly a professional-looking outfit. I could be mis-judging them though.....

Clement Mcmahon, Faranshone, specialises in roof cleaning. He uses some kind of chemical detergent and can paint over finished tiles if needs be. he is also fully insured.
He drives a white Mercedes sprinter, I can't remember his trade name.

Some people who claim they can clean your roofs can actually do a lot of damage. Old concrete roof tiles are brittle and could easily break if walked on. Power washing roof tiles in the wrong direction will also do damage and allow water into the roof.

Never Never hire tradesmen that just knock at the door.

Known scam, clean moss, break few tiles, then fix tiles + charge ?. Or fall off roof + sue.
