    Hi Folks,

my wife is into jogging/running. She has done a few 10-13kms races and was working up to the marathon when she (with my help) found herself pregnant.

But she was interested in getting one of these watches that tells you distance travelled/times/calories burnt etc.

I have no clue about these.

Any help would be most gratefully received.

    Mark.

What's your budget? The most recommended watch (in terms of value for money), is usually the Garmin 305 from Amazon.co.uk for £118 (sterling). You can also pick up the entry-level Forerunner 110 for around €130 in some Irish shops.

Thanks Krusty, That would probably be the budget I had planned on alright. I will have a look at that,

    Cheers.

Another vote for the 305. Its a great piece of equipment.
Its only downside is its size and relative ugliness.

Only you know if your wife will be OK with a large piece of grey plastic on her wrist.

The 110 is nicer looking and more girly but it's not nearly as good. Not as many features that are very useful for Marathon training.
