I was wondering if someone could answer me this....the dept decides on the stories and poems for the LC.....does the dept. own the copyright to them or does the individual authors...e.g.if i wanted to print/photocopy/publish/upload the stories am I free to do so or do I need permission off someone?
    Thanks

I am not sure who exactly owns the copyright but I know that I, as well as any other Irish teacher I know, has photocopied them hundreds of times!

I'd be pretty sure that the author still owns the copyright.

I'd say the authors still own copyright. I'm only basing that on the times it happens that publishing companies aren't given permission to reproduce the poetry on the Junior Cert higher level paper.

You can photocopy a certain percentage of a book without a problem, I'd imagine a poem is within those percentages.
