    Hey ya ..Im jess Im new here.

    Joined as I have a problem with my Audi A4 and was wondering if i could get some advise.

    Problem is she cuts out e.g electrics dont work and she wont start with out jump leads, and also the lights come on themselves after I lock the car.

    I have changed the battery got the altenator reconditioned still no joy .. Taught it might be the new key i got for it but brought it back to audi and they said it wasnt .

    Any ideas on what it could be ???

    Shes a 1.9tdi 01 model.

    Sounds to me like a bad earth somewhere.check the earh straps on the engine.the lights coming on after you lock it could be a feature enabled on the car I wouldn't worry about that to much

    ahh ryt .. i shall say that to me dad soo . very strange ave the car since feb and the lights never done that until nw .. cant drive her in the night time either the lights get really bright and den dim out ..

    Seems like the car draining the battery, could be lose earth or more likely lose wires on the alternator itself.

    Hey ya .. thnxs for the reply .. got it checked again yday turns out the new battery was faulty and there was a problem between the starter n summit else brushes needed to be replaced .. all sorted now and running great ..
