Ok, I just bought these two dresses from Forever 21:

I'm not the greatest at choosing accessories and shoes for outfits, so does anyone have any ideas? I was wanting to wear the first dress to a fancy date and the second I was considering for New Years Eve. What sort of tights should I go for? Opaque or sheer ones? Is black ok? And as for shoes, I only want to wear flats because I am so tall as it is! I'm not the best at walking in heels anyway :pac: Thanks for any help!

To my eye, the first thing you need to think about is belts, for both dresses, to hide the elasticated waistlines on them. Dunnes or Penneys are good cheapy options here, just avoid anything too fake-leathery looking.

With the first one you could go with anything -- metallic, red, sequinned, stretchy with a fancy clasp. It's fairly plain so anything goes!

The second, I'd stick with a plain black belt or a silver chain belt, something neutral anyways.

Black tights are a-ok, in fact they're probably about your only option for a fancy date or formalish night out like NYE... I personally find coloured tights very casual-looking!

Thanks for the tips :) I am getting super crafty and making a belt for the first dress... still on the lookout for another one.

I'm looking through my jewelry collection and not sure if I have anything that suits either dress besides some sparkly bangles.. Really clueless on that part!
