Macbook programs? Good for creativity?

    Hi All,

I'm currently thinking of buying a Macbook Pro. To be honest, the reason I'm buying it is because I heard it was great for creating short films on iMovie, and for creating iPhone Apps and iBooks on other programs.

Does it really have all of this software? Is it a good investment in your opinion or a waste of money?

    Thanks for all replies!

Buy a decent PC laptop and use the change out of the budget you've set aside for a Macbook Pro to get some real movie editing software instead of relying on iMovie.

As for creating iPhone apps... you need to know how to program. It's no different to making an application for any other OS.

No you don't, you only need it to upload it to the app store

You only need Mac OS X to submit an iPhone app. Besides, if someone was dead set on writing applications for iOS they'd buy a Mac without asking for people's opinions first. Deciding to write software isn't something most people do on a whim.
