Hi most driven shoots the bag limit is set ie 100 bird days 200 and so on so how many guns is going whats your experience do you have. It would be better imo to shoot a few high birds or good crossing birds walk away with a few good memories of the day im out my self on a driven day in two weeks myself 150 bird day

I will second that sound advice. Pick your shots and enjoy the day.

If you just shoot a few high birds ,your probably still going to be paying for 1/6 or 1/8 of the bag.
The high bird approach would be fine,if everyone is singing off the one sheet, you dont want some trigger happy gom milling all the low stuff .
If its 100 bird day and 8 guns, thats E250 a head, and 12 or 13 birds apiece, thats if ye are all shooting an exact number.

Yes i agree if your shooting with people you know it should work out fine .
I shot with a group of lads that i did not know last year on a 200 bird day i was a back gun on the first drive the 3 front guns were shooting at everything hitting a few handy birds i remember one comment at the end of the drive quote you will need a wheelbarrow to pick up the birds after him .:(:( i aired my views in the gun wagon i shot 6 on that drive thankfully the next 2 drives were more sporting and put people in the place we finished up at lunch time with 165 birds and we had one drive after lunch a chat at lunch the lads were clay shooters an on the pegs for the first time i have since shot with 2 of the guns on a different day last season and will be out in 2 weeks with them again . The first drive can be a bag filler when shooting small days its a sporting shot you want. If i had one tip for driven shooting it woulsd be use the best shells you can afford the amount of guns that use cheap shells and trap cartridges .I dont understand your paying for the day a few extra euros for cartridges wont matter

20e a bird seems nearly too good value Some of the small shoots are actually a rip off.my advice to you would be to get a reference from someone who has already been on that shoot shoot and let them rate it for you .have been caught a couple of times over the years .
