If the "next big thing" is commercial crapware that you can't remove, then I'll stick with my measly iOS device, ta very much...

That's irritating but at least they'll be able to remove them when Ice Cream Sandwich comes out. Besides... news-stand, stocks, reminders etc.

One of the smartest ads I've seen in a long time. Very clever. It does show the moronic behaviour of some people when it comes to gadgets.

From what I here it's a pretty damn good phone. The boss and I were talking about it today. He's a iPhone purist but was saying that the Samsung is coming highly recommended.

Its a Samsung though, Apple are a brand image, it is like someone trying convince me that a Toyota is better than a BMW because it is shiny and has a new bell. If I buy a BMW then I am infinitely superior, wealthier and have more style than any Toyota driver. Same thing applies with having an iPhone.

Apple have the brand image and nothing can compete as such

Its amazing alright, he had to get a taxi to carry it around its so big...... I really hope Apple don't go down that route with the iPhone 5.

    Fab ad.

One thing to note is when there compared side to side the iPhone has a case to bulk it up a little.

The samsung looks good, but for me it'd the iOS that keeps me apple.

Great ad, and to be fair the s2 is a great phone... I nearly bought one instead of the 4s.... It was very close. But if you think that's a big phone, you ain't seen the new nexus... It's practically a tablet!

Great Ad. Everyone needs to be able to laugh at themselves. Even us iPhone fanboys. :)

....so having an iPhone makes you infinitely superior than a Samsung user?!

Thats the worst car analogy ever. They are both high end phones, its not like they are comparing the i phone to an old nokia.

Well their share of the smartphone market has been overtaken and is falling every year, so it looks like the others are doing a good job competing.

Only 4% market share but over 50% of the profits.

this is rubbish of course you can if you know what to do.

I don't want to get into another juvenile debate which phone is better but it gets a bit tiresome listening to iPhone fanboys droning on about how their phone is the best ever when this is quite clearly not the case.

    Over and out!

Likewise, listening to Android fanboys rabbit on about how the iOS platform is old hat, done before, nothing new, blah blah blah ;)

If you know what you're doing then yes, both platforms can be as open and flexible and customisable as you like :)

Yes i agree although the ratio of iPhone to Android fanboys is about 8 to 2 from what ive seen on various websites online, former iPhone user here and indeed a great phone but your severly limited in what you can do so i switched to Android and have no regrets.:)
