Kuala Lumpur, where to stay?

    Hi,

I'm going to KL in early Jan with 2 mates for 5 or so days and I'm looking for a bit of a heads up. We've never been, just taking the chance as the flights from Phuket are cheep enough.

I'm more of a eater than a drinker, like a bit of shopping and sight seeing..

So what's the better area to stay in, any hotel recommendations and any suggestions on must do/see things?

    Thanks...

I stayed in Bukit Bingtang. Near China Town, lots of shopping malls, some great restaurants. I found a hostel there from the Lonely Planet. Can't really remember the name. The green foot or something like that. There are lots of nice hostels there anyway. Great city, I spent 4 weeks in KL and really enjoyed it.
