    Hi,

I have a Baxi Gas boiler (about 3 years old) with a 7 day digital timer, no room thermostats or zoned for hot water/central heating, I am thinking of upgrading the heating controls:
-adding TVR's to the bedrooms and room downstairs (4 in total)
    -hot water cylinder thermostat,
-2 zones (Central heating and hot water),
-a room thermostat in living room

any idea on the cost of getting the above done?, also if anyone knows a GOOD installer in castleknock/blanchardstown D15 area can they PM me their details.

    thanks.

Hard to say re: the price but you could expect to pay between €2500 upwards depending on the level of work involved to achieve what you want. There is a grant of €560 available to you from www.seai.ie so this would offset the cost a bit. You also need to get a BER cert done after the works and there is a grant of €80 available for this.

I'm not changing the boiler, just the controls, how much does a BER assessment cost ?, it's a 3 bed semi house built 1994

Then the controls upgrade will be less maybe €1500 or so only done one last year, most go for the boiler too. Iv seen BER companies charge anything from €120 to €200 so you will have to shop around.
