The Irish Open has been upgraded to a challenger event this year with Olympics qualification points at stake so I would imagine there will be a reasonably high class field taking part this year. This years event is in Lisburn from 8th to 11th November.

The All Englands is one of the biggest badminton tournaments - its like the Wimbledon of badminton! This takes place in March at the NIA in Birmingham. I've been to this a couple of times and would highly recomend going to it. Birmingham is easy to get to. and there are plenty of bars, restaurants and hotels within walking distance of the venue.

Absolutly agree about All Englands in Birmingham - it's class.
Great tournament in a great part of town.
Best days are the Thursday, Friday (Quater Finals), Saturday (Semis).
