    Hi Folks

Just wondering if anyone else had a problem like this. My main oven just stopped heating up. My wife says that the knob in the front started to get loose. This I guess could be a clue and sounds to me like the thermostat is gonners!
The rest of the cooker is fine. Cant afford to be going off buying a new one.

Anyone have any experience here. I have no problem removing the part, i'd be handy that way. :)

    Thanks

Its about 7 years old by the way.

Check first that it's not switched to auto
Make sure it's switched to manual

If being in automatic is not the problem, then its probably the thermostat or the oven element itself, or can the odd time be a bad connection in the oven circuit. Is the oven indicator light coming on when you rotate the stat?

Hi there, I am looking at a Synergie double oven at the monent to buy. It is 2-3 years old, does anyone know if they are any good, or should i stay away from it, any advice appreciated. Thanks

We have one in our rented house and it's a PITA. Thermostat in main oven and grill element in top oven had to be replaced. Side walls are 'rough' and difficult to clean. It's very temperamental and there is a fierce draft when the oven is heating up. If it was mine it would have been scrapped long since!

Hope I'm not too late but probably...

We had that problem , turned out that the heating element had gone. The guy put in a new one, grand now.

    Hope this helps
