    Hi,

can somone correct my eye perscription for me ?

    Right eye:

    DIST
    SPH:+5.25
    CYL:-2.00
    AXIS:8

    Left eye:
    DIST
    SPH:+6.25
    CYL:-1.75
    AXIS:176

I need to know from the above if i meet these requirments below :
The visual requirements for entry to An Garda Síochána for distant vision is that your visual acuity is not less than 6/9 in the better eye and not less that 6/12 in the lesser eye corrected and that your uncorrected vision in both eyes is no less than 6/18. Your optician who has provided you with a report outlining the dioptre correction required can convert this for you to the figures as mentioned above.

You have given your prescription details here and not your visual acuities which is the important.

You will more than likely satisfy the corrected visual acuity requirements of "not less than 6/9 in the better eye and not less that 6/12 in the lesser eye" This basically means that your vision needs to mean normal standards when you are wearing your glasses/lenses.

The problem for you may be the uncorrected requirements of no less than 6/18 i.e what you can see without your glasses.

If you can see around half way down the chart in the opticians you will be okay if not you won't pass.

The optician will have recoreded your visual acuities but it is not part of your prescription so you will have to call them up.
