4S Losing 3G Connection

I got an iPhone 4S from Apple online. I have had repeated issues where it appears that I have a 3G connection, 3G in the status bar and full bars for connection, but I cannot connect to the internet, nothing related to internet will connect. No matter how long it is left or how many attempts to connect are made it doesn't work. Turning airplan mode on and off doesn't help either.
The only thing that works is turning the phone off and on, connection works immediately then.

Does anyone else have this problem, know the root cause or have a solution?

I've had that problem for the last couple of days, get in touch with your network provider, ask them to reset your network settings. Once they've done that, restart the phone and you should be good to go.

same problem too, I just did a hard reset and it fixed it.

are you with vodafone per chance?

I had this same problem. First phone from Meteor kept having baseband issues. Losing signal all the time. New replacement from Apple fixed that issue, now I have the problem mentioned above. Full signal Internet works then it stops. Totally. Have to turn on off airplane to get it back.

Will try carrier network reset tomorrow maybe.

Reckon this could be a software issue with ios

Same problem here and I'm also with Vodafone. Will try ringing them on Monday and asking them to reset my network settings to see if that helps.

yeah, so it seems the problem keeps coming back, and it's on both 4s I have.

Never had a problem with my 4

might try a network reset in the settings-general-reset menu.

    seems like a bug

ffs stupid 4s, I really don't even know why I got it now. I've been using the 4 anyway since it's jailbroken and siri is a load of **** anyway.

I suppose I got it free from work anyway, so not too pushed.
    I might just sell it.
