Now that Tubs has called it a day, who do you want to see become the next presenter of the LLS?

I'd like to see Brendan O' Connor given the job.

Is the LLS really that popular among the <60 age bracket?

If so, we really need to get the people of Ireland a hobby for Friday nights

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,758 ✭✭✭Laois_Man

    None of those names ^^^

And anyway, there isn't much point in changing the host if the guests are still gonna be shockingly poor!

None of the above for the Late Last Advertiser if he was gone - which sadly he's not.

The LLS needs to be divided into two shows
Happy hour followed by serious hour with two diffent hosts.
    IMO

Can I suggest the OP adds "Inanimate carbon rod" to the possible nominees??

    When was this announced?

None of the above should host it. Scrap it altogether.

Sorry to ruin everyones new found happiness, but the rumour of Tubs finishing up on the LLS is false

+1 - I really enjoyed his recent interviews on RTE1 - esp. the Bertie one!
    He'd be perfect for it.

I think Daithi would be good but he might be a bit annoying, I would give him a chance.

Alan Partridge, being confined to the web is an outrage.

The poll is about as imaginative as Ryan Turbidity.

Someone new. Gay Byrne was young when he started.

    How about Dylan Haskins?

Also young does not equal new.

My guess is Mr. Social himself Craig Doyle.

    Brendan O'Connor
    - N'ah. He's a bit sleezy and wooden

    Miriam O'Callaghan
    - N'ah. I'd question her ability to cope with spontaneous exchanges

    Derek Mooney
    - This is a joke right? BYeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Daithi O' Se
    - I swear to God I'll never watch the show ever again if he ever gets it!

    Grainne Seoige
    - Too cold and Impersonal Even her sister would be better!

    Des Cahill
    - M'eh! I dunno. He's a bit...sleepy or something

    Atari Jaguar
    - ???

Other options: Ray D'Arcy, Katherine Thomas, Mike Murphy, sean Moncrief, Claire Byrne, Alan Hughes, Dara O'Brien, Ian Dempsey, Craig Doyle, Eamonn Dunphy, Matt Cooper, Ray Foley, Sile Seoige, Anton Savage, Joe Duffy, Byran Dobson, Gay Byrne (imagine), Pat Kenny (Imagine still), Dave Fanning, Hector Ó hEochagáin, Mary Wilson, Seán O'Rourke, Gorge Hook, Bill O'Herlihy, Colm Hayes

    Mike Murphy romped home ...

Well RTE are always gonna have a chat show. They'll never be past their sell by date. It doesn't matter what the name of the show is!

    Sean Moncrieff.

Probably wouldn't touch the poison chalice though.

    I don't mean Twink's undercarriage btw.

Has he been on it since he called Pat Kenny a plank though? The night Gerry Ryan hosted it cos the plank's Kenny's mother had died the night before? I don't think he has.

They'd never in a million years risk him!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 118 ✭✭Wester

Here's an option: scrap the show. It's long past its best-by date.

afaik tt and pk get on well together. It was all the other stuff that he said, and Gerry Ryan being unable to control him. Also tubs' is prob afraid of him.

Never really watched it, but isn't it still doing good ratings? So while it may not appeal to the boards demographic, its wrong to think it doesn't have a big audience surely?

None of them are nearly good enough.

Can Conan O'Brien be on two sides the Atlantic at once?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 392 ✭✭Fionne

    None of the above.

There really just aren't enough guests for both The Late Late and The Saturday Night Show anymore, I think they just drag people in from the corridors of RTE to fill space.

How about Tom Dunne? Love him on the radio and if he could bring that same sense of fun and irreverence to tv then I'd certainly watch. Imagine a free Nudie Pen for everyone in the audience!

So did tubs really get the boot/leave? Thank god for that.
