Registration for the final round of this years Supercross Cup will open at 7pm on Thursday the 24th of November. Please note that if you want to figure in the final league standings you have to start (doesn't matter if you dnf) the final round. Due to the unprecedented numbers (over 160 riders) in the league this year it will be first come first served and numbers are capped at 60 per race. The venue for the final round is Tymon Park, an old classic on a very fast course but this year will feature a few new sections to test the riders and keep the crowds of spectators entertained.

All races run to the same high standards of quality, organisation and enjoyment.

Yup, that's what I meant.. will be less techy so suit Roadies more! :D

I think it depends on the rider. Sean O Tuthail is a roadie and has done very well in every round. Tymon as always will have a good mix of on road and off road sections with some tricky turns and flat out straights. The trick is to use your personal strengths to your advantage and limit your losses where your weaknesses could let you down. In these cases its about not losing any time not trying to gain it.

Depends how you define technical really. St Annes wasn't the most technical. Kinda typical Euro CX style course really...ho hum.

Bring on the hill of confusion. Ah Tymon, my old friend. Broke my CX cherry there many moons ago.

Are mountain bikes allowed in this race?

Why are there a number of people on boards who seem upset if you say st Annes and technical in the same sentence, regardless of the qualifiers used?

Yes....Tymon is always good, should be a good end to the series

Video from lat year below, me losing it on lap 2, brutal....

Re: St Annes being technical...yes, it is a technical cross venue....but only because it has more corners, Not because there are huge root and dropoffs......as the vid shows above, its speed around corners that makes cross technical. My mum could ride the Tymon cross cross, but not fast!

Fantastic Series of races, roll on next year!

    Congrats to all involved!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51 ✭✭Rutrider

To qualify you must have ridden the final round. Finishing is not a requirement.

Final score is calculated by the best 4 results (hopefully there are no huge errors in the table).

Next year with every entry you must all bring one beer for us.

Great season though. Think we surpassed ourselves. Just need others to take up the mantle now and join in. The more attention this sport gets the bigger it will get.

Push your road clubs, push your MTB clubs, push your Tri clubs. You can run these style of events. There are people that will help you.
