I have a 2005 citroen c4 and when I put on the air con in cold or cool weather,it works perfectly. However in hot weather the air con will start to work for a few minutes then stop.If I leave it for a few hours it will normally work again. The car was re-gassed 2 years ago so I dont think thats a problem.Any ideas?

When you say it stops working? The A/C switches off or it stops blowing hot air?

If it stops blowing hot air, have you checked your coolant level?

The vents still pump out air at the same speed but the refridgerant effect is gone. This is normally accompanied by the sound of a fan? in the engine bay going at full speed.

That still doen't say if it keeps blowing hot air:D

Anyway, any first check your coolant level. If this is fine then a Diagnostic test of the A/C system would be the next POC.

Checked the coolant level - thats fine.On a side note why do citroen make changing a headlight so difficult!
