Has anybody any info or done this course before?

Not too familiar with the area says it starts at Blue Light Car park, Where is that exactly?

    Thanks

The Runireland site has a link to the exact location on google maps.

In laymans terms, the Blue Light is a pub up the Dublin Mountains.
Its dark, dingy, and the toilets smell, but the view is great.

To get to it, go right at Lambs cross and then left at Lamb Doyles pub.
Keep driving until its gets really steep and its on your right.

A 5k run around there would be hilly, I'm guessing.

Might try and cycle to this one. Is there anywhere to lock a bike at the blue light?

You could lock it to this fence, just don't tell anyone on the internet. ;)

Great picture of the Blue Light. I am getting all nostalgic. But not nostalgic
enough to want to run up and down Three Rock mountain tomorrow, I would hasten to add.

Dark and dingy with smelly toilets, but a cracking pub all the same.
Some of the sessions I've had there.. Enough to make your teeth curl. :)

I meant dark, dingy and smelly toilets as a compliment, you understand.

I won! Well not exactly... i was first across the line but i only ran 2.8miles :( must have taken a wrong turn going up 3 rock. It was pretty crap having to explain that one to the organisers :( the signage wasnt great, on the drive home we were flagged down by two lads on the road who went VERY wrong

Two guys in front of me went wrong but apparently my instincts were better, the trail they were pointing at looked far too dry and grassy to be right, saw a few people running up the road on my way home.

I was very late arriving so didn't really get to sample the atmosphere. Nice run out though.

Really enjoyed this run but have to agree that the course was a bit difficult to follow. There were a couple of times that I wasn't 100% sure I was going the right way. Maybe there could have been more marshalls or clearer signage but for a charity run in the mountains can't really complain. Overall there was a great atmosphere and everyone seemed happy just to finish, what was a unique course!:)

Hey there, I was the organiser of event, we had been expecting more marshalls on the day but where let down so apologies on that.. I marked out the track myself and am so used to doing it I didn't see a problem but point taken and I promise to have it better next year if decide to come.. It was my first ever run to organise and took it mostly on my own up untill race day when some kind friends gave a dig out so again it's a learning curve! mostly I have only heard good reports and everybody really enjoyed the day! .. Sorry to those of you who missed the markers and to that poor guy who won but took The wrong course I felt terrible but sure it's mainly for charity and bit of fun but I'll have it perfect next year.. Thanks to everyone that came and I hope your medals are shining away on your necks still ha ha.. Be good

I havent seen any results, not really expecting to find any either. I'm fairly certain this guy finished third though...
