Some help needed

Right I'm in a bit of a pickle at the moment.

My dad is a conductor of a school choir and he has a concert in front of said school on Friday. Of course he has no accompanist that day so he's turned to me for help.

Basically he has a song and he needs to chop it up to resemble the acommpaniment. At the moment he's using a cd player with the pieces recorded on different tracks, but that's not a realistic option at all.

What I need to do is take the first 15 seconds of the piece out and have that as the intro. Then I take the part from 29 seconds up to 70 seconds as the verse. The verse is then repeated 4 times.

I've managed to convert the song from the itunes version to mp3. I then uploaded it to the Mixxx software but then I hit a stumbling block. Would I be right in saying I can't do what I need that way?

I realise this is all probably really simple but I'm completely lost as to where to go. I'm not even sure if this is in the right forum. Does anyone have any help?

I managed to find out how to do it so there's no more need for this thread.

Move along folks. Nothing to see here.

    Hi Jimmy

I'm trying to remove verses from songs on a Cd. Any advice on how to do this?

    Thanks
