Taxing a car i just bought ??

    do i have to wait for the registration to come back to me or is there another way to tax it ???(with out paying the back tax),

    Once you see that "Transferred to Individual on" has a recent date in it, just go to your local Tax office, bring your license and fill out the Form you get here: https://www.motortax.ie/OMT/pdf/RF100A_en.pdf

    You're only liable for tax from the beginning of the month you bought the car, so November onwards I'm guessing. :)

    The month is nearly out so leave it in the shed till start of next month 1 week away & only pay for what you use. No point paying for a full month when you did not have the car.
