BBC4 is now halfway through screening of a much hyped aussie drama 'The Slap' [which is about an event in a family birthday party that gets totally out of proportion for the characters present on the day], on Saturday nights. It' rare to see TV series from down under apart from the two soaps that are seen in the British and Irish TV schedules. This seems a bit contrived to be honest and dragged well beyond it's natural episode total. If this is the standard of Australian TV drama, they might want to keep it there.
