    Right.
I've NEVER had a salt water aquarium, I've had the arbitrary goldfish when I was younger and I have a dog and a tarantula. I don't know how to set up, maintain and source a salt water tank. My ultimate goal is to have an octopus. I know they're very sensitive to oxygen saturation, copper content etc so I wanted to just throw a few dollies or I really want a starfish first so I can get used to it.
Does anybody know where I can get a cheap tank, how big it'll need to be, how I set up and where I would get an octopus or starfish?

    Thanks.

Is there a Pet mania in your area? They specialise in some salt water species and stock the equipment needed. They also take orders if they don't have what you need in stock.

Reptile village near temple bar have pretty large fish/reptile tanks just to the left as you go in, they were pretty cheap. about €120 for the largest one we saw. I'm pretty sure they order tanks aswell

The Aquarium forum above would get you more answers, but basically:
Gumtree or Adverts is your best bet for second hand aquaria.
    No idea.
No idea, I only keep freshwater fish.
    Try Seahorse Aquariums.

SEAHORSE AQUARIAMS is the best place to go for setting up a marine tank.

Speak to Keelan, and he will give you great advice.

We are getting a custom made tank and cabinet made by Seahorse at the moment, and Keelan has given us brilliant advice on setting up a marine tank.

    +1.
Stear clear of Petmania. Crap livestock and the staff know very little about what they sell. I would never recommend and Ocotopus to any Marine
novice.Apart from needing specialist care, very few people have tanks big enough with only public Aquaria giving the Invert any chance of survival.

Learn to walk before you can run dude. Start off with a tropical fish tank
for a few years and then move into marines. Marines are very expensive to keep. The last thing you want is to be constantly replacing live stock.

Why not join a Club or one of the Club websites.
