Anyone got any decent aviation apps, android/iOS/windows, for their mobiles they recommend?

I use a few on iPhone/iPad that some may be interested in

    FlightRadar24:
    €2.39 Link
Flight tracking with info using google maps

    Flight Control (game):
    €0.79 Link
Guide aircraft to runways, different rwys for different type, with different speeds, etc.

    FSXControl:
    €2.99 Link
Additional control from your device, to free up screen space on your computer (control surfaces/gear/atc/brakes/throttle/change views, etc.)

    FSXFollow:
    €3.99 Link
Flight tracking using google maps for FSX Flights.

    LiveATC:
    €2.39 Link
Stream from liveatc.net with nice user interface.

    PlaneFinder:
    €3.99 Link
Similar to FlightRadar24, flight tracking with info using google maps

    PlaneFinderAR:
    €2.39 Link
Augmented reality plane finder. Uses the compass, accelerometer and camera. View a plane in flight through the camera and a little info box appears with route, type, alt, etc.. Can be a little flakey looking at flights directly above you as the device isnt sure where you're facing, but when it works it's great.

    XPlane Airliner:
    €3.99 Link
Xplane Simulator. Very impressive for a mobile device. Others are available, xplane carrier, heli, etc.

I had FlightRadar24 on Android but it showed too few planes with not enough detail for me.

I play Air Control from time to time.

I'd love to have Dublin ATC tho'.

I think there's a free version of flight radar 24 that only shows limited information, the paid version has reg, route, alt, and images from google, etc. although I think it just googles the reg number and shows the first few image results, so the odd time you get a random image. Quite rare though.

Live atc is handy at the airport, listen to it through the car speakers instead of a scanner. If you have a smartphone that it will run on it's a cheaper alternative, although the stream isn't always live. Again this is pretty rare though.

I know a crew who where operating a commercial turbo-prop flight (That is all the detail I will go into).
Anyways, over the north sea, between Scotland and Norway at FL180 during the night they lost there RNAV. The captain had just bought an I-phone (this was 2 years ago now) and had downloaded an app that was IFR aircraft instruments that worked of a GPS signal.. Long story short, the Captain and F/O used the I-phone (placed on the dash above autopilot) to navigate there way over the north sea until they where near land again and the RNAV kicked back into life.
It was a really cool app, I forget the name of it  but I remember seeing you could have a VOR, NDB/DME, ILS etc or what ever displayed and tuned into real nav-aids but insted of working of actual radio signals to track radials, it just used GPS.

The Captain said "it was the best £4 he ever invested in his life" :P
