Ipad & boards glitch - Anyone else see this ?

    So here is the picture. As you can see, the drop down window in the top corner looks fine. Only problem is i didnt call for it ! It pops up randomly when forum hopping . Getting to be a pain in the ass ( mainly cause i dont know how to eliminate it) but im hoping one of the resident genius bar guys might have an answer ? Its gotta be something i'm missing. Happens across safari, atomic and dolphin browsers. :confused:

    Im getting the same(using safari). it is random and a refresh or two ususally sorts it out but it is annoying.

    thanks adox, at least its not just me! Have you always seen this ? Personally, it is a fairly recent issue, probably around the same time i updated to ios5.

    I raised this issue in Site Development a while ago (see here). It's also been brought up in Feedback. It's a known bug with the beta theme that seems to affect most Webkit browsers. I've experienced it with Safari on my Mac as well. Only permanent fix I've found is to not use the beta theme. You'll lose the fancy menus but at least they won't be blocking everything.

    Yes I'm getting that too. Ever since I upgraded to iOS 5.

    There since ios 5. I had to turn off the beta theme. It was also appearing within the text box when replying to posts.

    Strange that it only became an issue since ios 5. Turning off beta now. Pity, cause i really like it. Hopefully a fix will be found.

    Same here, I had to give up on the beta theme. Very annoying since the beta team drop down and click throughs worked really well compared to normal themes.

    It only started happening to me after new safari under ios5.

    i use skyfire for ipad for browsing and unless its in "PC View" mode i cant type in the main text window,the subject bar is fine,it will accept text but not the main window.

    Had this too. As a quick workaround I noticed that if you click the quick links dropdown then it goes away until the next page refresh.

    Still a pain in the hole though.

    What I did notice was that after disabling beta, and then re-enabling, "Mr.Unwanted pop-up" took quite a while to rear its ugly head again. Strange.

    Same here. Ever since iOS5 it's been happening. Also using the beta skin.
