Hey everyone, I'm looking into getting a canvas print as a Christmas present. This is new territory for me, so I'm just shopping around at the moment and doing my research. I'm leaning towards Photobox.ie at the moment because they seem to strike a balance between price and good review. At the moment I'm eyeing up a 16 x 12 for 46.99.

However, Mycanvas.ie caught my attention and are running an offer of a free 10 x 10 or 12 x 8 when you buy a 20 x 16 for €59. Now that might actually be too big but the offer is tempting. Anyone use this crowd before?

    Thanks.

These are an affilate of 7dayshop whom I have used before.
I have got prints from them but never canvas but their prices are resonable for canvas it would seem.

    Check here

This Groupon offer might be of interest; I just signed up for three 12" x 16" canvas prints for €57 including postage... a single canvas would be €21.50 posted.

Wow, that's a pretty incredible offer. My spider sense is tingling though...seems almost too good. €50 for five 12 x 16 canvases, the same price I'm looking at paying for one on Photobox. Hmm...

I'm sure if you ask them nicely (mycanvas.ie) they will throw in the 10x10 or 12 x 8 with the 16 x 12 for €45 inclusive of delivery and on 1.5 inch frame.

I was going to buy this deal when it came up last week, but I was very unsure about the company. The fact that they sold a bucketload of these deals just a few days ago and are selling more now would make me worried about delays with printing and delivery. I did some googling and came up with the following two reviews - they don't make for pretty reading:

I used my canvas before and found the guy very nice to deal with. I purchased a couple of them for presents and was very happy with the service & quality :)

Cheers for those links, nibtrix. I may look into cancelling the order while there's still time...

Interestingly, I was originally assured that the "Voucher activates on Wednesday 23 November 2011 at 8pm"; now that's been changed to Friday 25 November. :(

    Lads,

I know the title of this thread is in relation to Mycanvas.ie

I've had a horrid time with another "City Deal" printing offer by printerpix.co.uk.

Essentially, I placed my order for 3 books on September 25th and am yet to receive my order. I've elaborated on my experience on this thread: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056472999

May come in useful for anyone considering purchasing with these gangsters!

well done on highlighting it Jim ...maybe you should (if you havent already) ... raise the matter with "Citydeal" I'm sure they wont want to be associated with people who get a bad reputation by not being able to cope with the extra business.

Yep, Printerpix were already mentioned above in this thread under a Groupon offer.

I forgot to update this thread; I went with Photobox, because the 20 x 16 on offer from Mycanvas was just too big. Very happy with the result from Photobox.
