T-72 Tank - help! World Record In the Making

    Hi there,

I'm participating in a World Record for the greatest international scavenger hunt the world has ever seen and one of the items on the list involves a T-72 tank... a real one. Is there anyone who can maybe help out with this?

    • As you are all aware, the Georgian military still uses some Soviet-era T-72 tanks. Make a video that shows a T-72 moving, the T-72 stops, the hatch opens and a person pops their head out and says, “When’s lunch?” (80 points)

I know it is a HUGE ask but if there is anyone who can assist with this at all I would be eternally grateful :o

Visit one of the tank museums in the UK. Duxford has lots of soviet era captured iraqi tanks in running order.

edit: just noticed Duxford's land warfare exhibit is closed until 16/3/12

Sean Curtis, the owner of Protac in the curragh, might point you in the right direction. He owns a Chieftain tank and goes to a lot of military shows so i assume he know's someone who has access to a T-72! :D

You can probably contact him directly by calling the shop. Shop's number is: 045441798

Don't bother emailing them by the way, they never look at their emails! :L Better off just calling them.

If you personally have to be in the video, you'll have to travel to Finland, I think. I note the requirement doesn't state the 'when's lunch' must be in English.

We have one in vagely operating condition here in California. I do note that also that it just says the T-72 is moving, not necessarily under its own power. Could be under tow. Not sure when we're moving our T-72 next though, when do you need this by?

    NTM
