My wife's returning to her home country for a while to care for her mother. However, she's not entirely sure how long she'll be staying. Multi-trip insurance only covers trips up to 60 days (depending on provider). Single-trip insurance can be longer, but need to be booking in advance and, since she doesn't know when she's returning, I'd have to give the max possible date, which turns out to be rather expensive. Just to note we already have health insurance here. What do people advise?

    Thanks,

what does she need the insurance for? if she's at home then why would she need insurance. she should just buy insurance in her home country when she is getting ready to leave there, or start a new insurance from here at that time.
