I came off my bike coming down Stocking Lane in August 2009 - thankfully my helmet saved me... I am taking the bike shop that serviced the bike to task over the issue.

There was a regular cyclist/boardie coming toward me - we had a brief chat once I gathered myself - I showed him what happened...the stem seperated from the shaft and I went head-first onto the ground at around 40kph !!!

I'm sure he would remember and I could do with the help in this
