I use BBB skull cap, bought in my LBS. It is fantastic.

I use a sealskinz skull cap which does the job nicely, though my daughter reckons it makes me look even more hideous than my regular cycling gear.

Endura Skullcap. Works very well - better than clingfilm - doesn't make your head too warm when the sun comes out.

I use a buff that I bought in Austria on a ski trip last year. It's brilliant. It has a fleece lining at the neck and then a flexi-type linen-ish material for the rest of it. The "rest of it" part can be stretched up over my mouth, nose, ears and head and fits so neatly under my helmet. I'd recommend one. I use it for my winter training all the time.

The Polaris-Skullie is excellent - dosent get too warm and act like neoprene when wet - very good value too -
it also doubles up as a handy fancy dress hat when combined with a white cloak and a crucifix you will make a very convincing inquisitor from the spanish inquisition -

I have one of these. I sweat a lot too and as the top of your head isn't covered it works well
