PSP what version to buy? Do they all play Fifa 12?

I'm looking to buy a PSP as a Christmas present, I have been looking through some ad's ( buying it 2nd hand) and I know there is a large version and a slim version as some of the ad's are advertised as 'PSP slim white' or 'slim and lite' and so on. (I'm going to get a slim version) but what one?

I am very confused as some have PSP 2003 or PSP 3000 on the box I can see in the picture, what's best to buy? Do all games play on all versions?

The main thing is that he can play Fifa 12 on it as I will be buying this along with it, he has a PS3 that he plays Fifa on but wants this for lunch breaks & stuff - FIFA obsessed!

    Thanks for any info!

the 2000 and 3000 refers to hardware revisions. 2000 and up should be fine.

Go for the 3000, it has a better screen than the 2000. You can see the lines on the 2000's screen. The 3003 and 3004 etc are just local versions, the xxx3 are UK models and xxx4 are EU models. I have a 2003 UK and a 3004 EU and both play everything just fine.

Any point in getting a PSP Go! before the Vita comes out?

    Are they "customizable"?

I see thanks, so I should not go for a 1003 KCW then as I see a lot of them for sale online for around 80 with games?

It's hard to tell what is what till I contact the seller they all look pretty much the same in the pics.

Do not get the Go anyway, that thing died on its arse and Sony are trying to flog them off as are the people who bought them. The Go was a disaster for Sony, 100% digital content is just not there yet.

Don't get a 1000 or 2000 series, they are old and outdated. The 1000 is a brick and poor battery compared to the 2000 and 3000.

The 3000 is the one you want. Slim, and the best battery and screen. The difference between a 2000 and 3000 head on are: The 2000 has the PS logo left of the screen and Sony printed on the right, the 3000 has Sony printed on the left of the screen and no PS logo on the front at all.

Get a Vita, you can get the next few years of Fifa rather than maybe next year.
