Does anyone know if these prices will rise if the VAT does in fact increase?

No one knows for certain if there will be a 2% VAT increase in the budget. If there is it most likely won't come into affect until the 1st of Jan 2012. But lets say it does, a 2% increase on a €7.50 bottle of wine will bring it up to €7.62

This is great! I got 6 bottles last time it was on, but its down to 1 now

EDIT: Any good wines reduced atm?

The McGuigan Signature Merlot, SE Australia is 7euro a bottle at the moment. It says it should be 12/13 euro a bottle BUT I have never seen it at that price.
Saying that at 7euro it is a lovely wine therfore any further reduction is a bonus.
    Enjoy.

I bought 6 bottles of wine in Tesco Navan Road today but noticed there was no 25% discount taken off on the reciept. Went to customer services and was told that it only applies to a selection of the wines so beware!! All the bottles I picked were reduced to start with so it was still good value but was a pit peeved that I didn't get the EXTRA 25% off too :(

Does this apply to Tesco online/delivery? I have added 6 bottles to my basket but it does not deduct discount also I can't find any mention on the website.

bray Tesco posted out €10off coupons last week( once you spend €40) so got a nice little extra saving on the wine (8 bottles for €32) !

Do the wines have to be the same 6 or can you mix and match and get 25% off the total

I bought three "decent" bottles of wine in Tesco today. Didn't know about the extra 25% off until now... Does anyone know if they will give me the discount if I buy another 3 bottles tomorrow - assuming I go back with my 3 bottles (and receipt) from today?
    Thanks.

I don't know if they have "customer quotas" but you can certainly get more than 6. As someone pointed out on this board last month when they had this offer (and it was news to me) that it doesn't need to be multiples of 6. You could get 10 for example and 25% off the lot.

    Damn, thirsty now :D

    T&C's are
Minimum of any 6 wines for 25% off whole bill.
    No Quotas apply.
Quess what the Xmas pressies are going to be ;)

    What wine was it?

Tesco in Nutgrove got a massive delivery yesterday (as probably most stores did).

    Of course they will.
VAT and duty increases (alcohol, fuel, tobacco etc.) are normally applied at midnight on the night of the budget too. They won't wait until January for their extra few bob!

Jacobs Creek sparkling (Chardonnay/Pinot Noir) was reduced to €10 today - with another 25% off that's a real bargain.

Picked up 28 bottles last night.Happy out! Got the McQuigans signature Shiraz and signature Pinot Grigio which were half price anyway, tho I must say the Il Capo pinot grigio (also 7) is a nicer wine.

I got the wolfblass yellow label cab sauv. Bit of a sore head this morning;). It still had the special offer yellow label for €8 in front of it.
