Wooden gate hard to open due to swelling from rain. Is there any way to draw the water from the wood?

Best to hope for a decent dry spell with drying air.
Any form of artificial or rapid heating could end up distorting the door.
To reduce swelling in future, you will need to seal the door when it is bone dry.
Pay particular attention to the end grain, which is most likely at the top and bottom of the door. End grain absorbs most water.
