    Hi everyone,

I am Griet from Belgium. During the second semester of the academic year I will be attending UCD.
Therefore I would like to find a nice room to stay in during that period!

I would prefer bunking up with the Irish, because this way I can really get to know 'the friendliest country of Europe'.

I hope someone has a room for rent, which has good transport connections to UCD. Or if you can put me in contact with someone, that would also be great!

    Thank you so much!
    Griet :)

www.daft.ie is the best website, but also look at www.myhome.ie and www.let.ie

Good areas for Belfield would be areas on bus routes 2,3, 11, 39a, 46a. There are other routes, but at lower frequency. For nights out, shopping, etc. somewhere between Belfield and the city would be good, e.g. Ranelagh, which is a traditional student area.

If in Blackrock, consider bus routes 4, 7, 45 or DART (train).

    Hi Griet!
Victor is right: he best way to find a place is on daft.ie
It has a team up database & a house share section & that is where most people look! It is also connected to google maps so you don't gave to rely on magic to guess where the place is!!!
You might get a private room or share in a room for 2 or 3 in Town in a hostel while you a looking for the first week or so; it's easier If you are here as most people will want to meet you to agree to share, or to rent to you!!!
I you are going to commute you might as well consider staying in the city centre ) 5 or 10 minutes not more from a dart!!) ; or on a direct bus ; that way you won't waste a lot of money getting taxis into town at night!!!!

Dublin is a great city; you re going to have a great time!!!

Hi Griet if you are still looking email me at <snip>
A place has just become available sharing an apartment with two Irish girls in Donnybrook, you can walk to UCD easily in 20-25 minutes or take the bus. Rent is €350 a month. We were actually hoping to find an international student to bring some new ideas to the house :)
