Seat Leon electric mirrors won't unfold.

    Has anybody had any experience with power folding mirrors not unfolding?

    Its a 08 Leon.
    The mirrors where folded in today and then they wouldn't unfold again.

    I've read 2 suggestions to fix this.

    1 is to disconnect the battery and the other was:

    Key out of ignition.
    Unfold mirrors by hand, they will make a crack noise as the move out.
    Mirror knob to top position.
    key in ignition, ignition on, but don't start car.
    Wait 30 seconds, then turn knob to bottom position. Mirrors will make cracking noises and fold in.
    Wait 30 seconds.
    Knob back to top, and the mirrors should unfold.

    Now, I don't have the code for the radio so I don't want to disconnect the battery but I did try the 2nd option. It kind of worked but the mirrors are not 100%

    Can anyone offer another solution or maybe tell me how I'd go about getting the code for the radio?

    Usually you'd phone a dealer to get the code for the radio

    Happened my Leon once just after getting. They will turn out by hand. Feels like you're going to break them though. Alternatively try holding the key down locking, then hold down open and start it.

    I have unfolded them by hand and they're back in position but when I fold them in with Key or internal knob, they don't unfold again.

    Right, the little control unit for them can give trouble. The switch is about €20 but pop it out first to check the connection. My lock switch packed up and when ordering the part they made a point of asking if it was the mirrors or not as they are a community fault.

    I'd do a reset first mind.

    If you don't have the little card in the owners manual maybe...

    Pull the fuse for the mirrors? I'd be surprised if the mirrors and radio were on the same fuse.

    I went looking yesterday and couldn't find it anywhere. It wasn't bought new.
    Its 08 bought in 2010. Most of, if not all the documents appear to be in the folder but I can't find the radio code anywhere.
