Samsung Warranty

Does anybody know what the deal with Samsung's warranty is? I bought a BNIB Galaxy S2 today off adverts but the phone has a greenish/blueish tint to it when it's tilted towards an angle.

Would they still fix it if I've got no receipt or proof of purchase? I'm thinking they might once they have the S/N but I'm not too sure.

    Thanks in advance.

the manufactory warranty should cover it. all you have to find is a place where they do this repair - that is official samsung repair/help center in ireland - you can even call them and arange post also they will be able to track it with EMEI - ifits still in warranty - that it should be. also you can try fonemenders - near henry street. make sure the phone is not rooted or falashed with costum rom mate before you send it away.

i have heared about this issue and people got the phones replaced straight.

Cheers for that! So if I go into fonemenders I won't be charged for anything?

I've just rooted my phone and in the process of putting a custom ROM on it, so I'll give it a while and if it really gets to me, I'll reflash back to stock and bring it in.. Just for future reference y'know. :p

reflash back to stock before you make your way to fonemenders. and yes they will be able to do the warranty repair for you if you can apply for it. they will check it your emei and let you know. you dont need receipt or proof of purchase. just make sure they cant detect the changes you made (root, or costum rom).
