I hate the way they are booking the Knockouts now. We were looking at a Velvet Sky/Madison Rayne title feud which I reckon could have been pretty good considering their history. Instead we get the flavour of the month Gail Kim and the never looks bothered Mickie James in a title match.

We move from a bad wrestler and a mediocre wrestler to the two best workers on the roster. Trading up in my book.

I cant tell if you're serious or not with that.

Gail and Madison are more or less the same in terms of ability. Mickie used to be good but hasent done anything of use in years while Velvet has been getting better eac and every month.

You can count the Mickie James matches that havent been woeful on one hand. Madison Rayne was epic during her title reign and then came up against Mickie and suddenly the matches were crap. Everyone else she faced, she had at least a good match with. Mickie comes along and sucks the life out of the match with her paint by numbers routine (awfully similar to RVD) and dominates for months. Her promos are crap and she looks like she would rather be anywhere else in the world.

Gail Kim meanwhile is simply the flavour of the month. She came in and was handed not one, but both title belts. Imagine how the rest of the locker-room feels about yet another recently released WWE star coming in and being made the focus of everything. Velvet Sky in particular must be pissed. She busted her ass for years in TNA before finally getting the title. Gail strolls back and the title is instantly swapped to her and Velvet dumped down the card for Mickie again. She has to be thinking, whats the point? She's improved dramatcally in the ring, she's improved in promos, she's the most popular Knockout in the company and has done everything asked of her. She finally wins the title and it's taken straight back off her. Why bother? Go to WWE, make a name for yourself then come back and get more success with less effort.

Add in the fact that they have pretty much no history with each other compared to Velvet and Madison who have several years of it to make a storyline out of. Not only are they more deserving of the main feud, it would send a positive message to the rest of the locker-room. Put the effort in and you get rewarded. Instead they are saying if you havent worked for WWE, you will be depushed as soon as we sign someone who has.

Gail was the glue that held the division together back in '08. The second she was gone the division took a huge nose dive (even with Kong left behind) and only really recovered for a short period when Mickie came in and raised the standard with Tara last year (but even that was short lived as all the Winter nonsense dragged it back down). Gail isn't being pushed based off her WWE run for the last few years, she's being pushed based off her TNA run before that (and rightfully so).

TNA has five good female wrestlers. Gail, Mickie, Sarita, Tara and ODB (mostly due to how her personality always shines through). They have a handful of decent supporting acts like Madison, Angelina, Jackie and Tessmacher (who has become much better than Velvet over a much shorter period of time). I'll give credit to Velvet, she has gotten much better but she's gone from horrendous to really bad. Gail vs. Mickie is the best TNA has to offer with the women, by far. That and they never really moved in the direction of a Velvet/Madison feud.

Sting announced during last night's Impact Wrestling taping that at TNA's Final Resolution PPV next month, Jeff Hardy will face Jeff Jarrett in an Escape the Cage Match.
If Hardy wins the bout, he will become the new number one contender to the TNA World Title. If Jarrett wins the bout, then Hardy must leave TNA. Additionally, Sting announced that during the bout, Karen Jarrett will be handcuffed to Sting.

That last bit makes no sense, why not just ban her from the building? If she shows up, Jarrett is automatically DQ'ed. Simple.

Because then he knows exactly where she is she can't use her femine wiles to get someone else to interfere on Jarrett's behalf etc

It's just baffling that TNA produce this kind of stuff every month and little of it ever sees the light of day on TV.

Sting just called me with an additional stipulation for the Jeff Jarrett vs Jeff Hardy cage match tomorrow night at our Final Resolution pay-per-view. He said if Jarrett loses, either he OR Karen will be fired. I was really looking forward to this match tomorrow, now I can't wait.

    Bye Karen!

If Karen leaves Jarrett can just rent out Chyna to manage him.

Tomorrow's Final Resolution pay-per-view will kick off with Rob Van Dam vs Christopher Daniels. Should be a great way to start the PPV.

Just bemused by Dixie promoting Mr. Half Day Monday Night vs Wrestlebot 2000 kicking off the show as a selling point. :p

Will give this a look tomorrow depending on the reviews here. UFC 140 and Cage of Death 13 were enough PPV excitement for one day.

Whoever put the main event together deserves to die a slow painful death. :)
