Want to get Sky Plus

    Existing customer here and want to get Sky plus finally, bit late to the game. Anyway as usual seem to be screwing their loyal customers it says on the small print free for new customers but 60 euros for current customers.

    Yet it also says 30 euros for HD+ set up and boxes. It seems misleading HD is half the price of Sky plus is this because you get billed more for HD?

    Any advice while on the phone ?

    I ve sky + and would be lost without it. From what I ve seen the hd box is a better option and the monthly subs are the same for both unless you get the hd package.

    Ring sky and see if they will give you the hd box at offer price because your considering your options. You might get lucky .

    I took their movies for €9 per month offer earlier in the year, when I rang to cancel they asked why and I told them I couldnt afford the reg price. Sales guy gave me the movie deal for another 3 months ,sweet result lol.

    I guess you could always give them some spiel about freesat, saorview, free to air looking rather tempting to you, since they aren't be all that accomodating.

    Otherwise, if you're that dead set on getting SKY+, you can easily buy a nearly new SKY+HD box for 30/40 nicker over on adverts these days.
    That way you're not stuck with a new 12 month sky contract, or extra HD sub.

    Just ring sky up and get the record/live pause features activated for free. :cool:
