I'll likely be finishing up at work next week so no party for me. but the boss is a tight arse anyway so there wouldn't be one. i'll miss out on all the normal christmas party things that every one's bound to talk about in here.

I assumed that rule being ignored since the charity thread thingy was opened (and not closed).

I'd rather pick up soap in a prison shower than go to a party with the people I work with.

I'll go to my college party though.

Agree completely. It's bad enough working with them without having to socialise with them too!!!!

Last time i went to one of these it was just horrible. A bunch of people who cant stand each other having a 'Partaay'. It was gruesome to be honest, Twas that bad, myself and my then boss ended up getting pissed at the bar for most of the night. I should have stayed at home and slit my wrists or something. Cringe!:o

and if they're like that sober, imagine how much worse they'll be drunk

I haven't been to a Christmas work party since I moved departments. The majority of the people I work with now are middle-aged, have never worked in any other company and begrudge you any success. :(

Maybe I'll go along anyway so I can verbally abuse them and then blame it on the drink later.
