    Hi All,

Looking at a 2010 one of these that would have been a uk car, and on the test drive assumed it was a 140bhp model. I didnt give the car much of a spin, as I was in rush at the time. However, it now appears to be one of the econetic engines with 115bhp.
Can anyone give me any info on these - are they just a detuned version of the 140bhp model, and how much performance would I be missing out on?
My old MK3 130bhp mondeo has great mid-range aceleration - the new model is a bigger heavier car.

It is a detuned version of the PSA 2.0 TDCi 140bhp unit. It's designed for economy rather than performance. The Econetic also has other features to lower emmissions and improve mpg such as shorter gear changes, lowered suspension, rolling resisitant tyres and aerodynamic styling to reduce wind drag.

The only way to know if you can live with it coming from a 130bhp MkIII Mondeo is to test drive it. The MkIV Mondeo is a bigger and heavier car than the previous model.
