for starters, the wiper arms,and battery stabiliser and tray.. id imagine the xl starlet would have same parts

Wouldn't count on that, the 1.3 engines are the same but the corolla is a different car and different shape/design etc so a lot of those bits are probably different. There's still a few of these around here in use. There's a few laid up around the place too but it's hard to just go into people's property asking them to sell cars or bit off cars these days

since been told that any corolla vvti arms will def fit,and even celica arms with some trimming of the wiper rubber on passenger side, most corolla arms will fit im told..

so just battrery stabiliser and tray anyone?

Ebay maybe, the older the car the harder it will be but im sure Ebay would have something

Lots of the older corollas have been exported or crushed for scrap now.
Hiaces as well, getting hard to find any that aren't red rotten.
