I have a VW Caddy and there is a noise coming from the drivers side wheel when driving at 80 kph and when the weight is on the wheel going around a bend, I cannot hear the noise if I put my foot on the clutch and free wheel, Can anyone help with this, Talked to someone and he said it not a bairing noise. Could it be a bent drive Shaft or something like that ??

    Could be a radius arm.

Get it up on a ramp and have a look.

I hit a curb last year in the snow side on and my steering wheel when driving in a straight line is off center could this be a cause or symtom ?

Could be a number of things, I had a similar problem last winter though, I hit a curb and put wheels out of line! i never got the wheels aligned and the tyre started to wear on the inside! i had similar problems to you and the only way i solved it was be getting 2 new tyres and tracking! The tyre guy said it was due to the noise from the badly worn tyre on the road!

    Hope that helps!

I switched the front wheels to the back and thought that might solve it but still the same issue. Wonder if it could be a bent drive shaft or something cause there is no noise when I free wheel only when its in gear
