In the gorey area tomorrow and was looking at playing Seafield golf course, just wondering what condition the course is this time of year and also wondering how busy it would on a normal friday and any tips etc.
    any help appreciated
(i realise the weather outlook is not supposed to be great tomo!!)

It's one of the few course I've played that I didn't enjoy. The start is interesting but all downhill from there. Wouldn't return.

The greens are quite wide, but there’s rarely any depth to them – which makes them bloody tough to hit.

There’s a par 3 around the 4th or 5th that a strong contender for worst hole in Ireland. 150 yards into a housing complex.

There are some good holes around the middle when the sea comes into view, but by and large it’s just not a course I could warm to.

The manager asked me after my round how I'd enjoyed the course... I had nothing to say. A fun first hole and not a lot else.

Only ever played there during the summer and conditions were ok but can be boggy in places so not sure now would be a good time.

They usually aren't that busy even in the summer considering it's location so you should have plenty of room.

It's not a nice course, as the wobbler said, you play one hole into someones back garden, then tee off from someone elses front lawn in the middle of a street with kids cycling by.

There is a par 3 wher you tee off from the top of a hill, you play it over the corner of the garden of a mansion trying to avoid the gates and you can only see half the green due to a bush.

I'd prefer to play Wexford. Worth the extra drive.

    Unless its snowing.
