    Hi ladies and gents,

I will hopefully be doing a good bit of travelling in the next year or so, and I'm in the market for a laptop that will perform to my needs.
I will need it to be able to handle full hd video editing as well as some light gaming use. I want to go with an i7 quad core with 6/8gb of Ram with standalone graphics card.

I'd like the size to be 14" to 15" inch

I have ruled out buying a macbook pro as I don't want to spend 2.5k on a laptop

Anyway...as far as I can see, my options are the Dell Alienware m14x or the xps 15z.
In the last week, Dell have released a very tidy xps 14z, but the screen resolution is poor on it.

So boardsies, I'd would appreciate any other options or suggestions or opinions on my current choices...tough decisions I tells ya!

Well between the two choices there the M14x is the more powerful and the XPS is the more mobile. Which did you need more?

Also with your stated uses I would say an i5 processor would do you to be honest.
