High idle CO 0.50% (limit above 0.30%) FAIL

Is anybody know how to reduce high emissions of my corsa 1.0 1999? NCT failed just this morning...

Put up all the emissions figures from the sheet. Low idle and high idle. Exactly as they appear on the sheet. Then someone may be able to suggest a cause.

From looking at that I would say you most likely have a cat problem. It is impossible to do a 100% diagnosis over the internet though ;)

I'm trying to get used one, would it help? But i know used one might not help me. I have to go to make a diagnosis anyway then will see whats wrong. Thanks anyway!!!

A good used one would help. The problem is that you won't know whether it is any good or not until you fit it and have another emissions test done.

The usual 3 cylinder cracked manifold could be a possible cause too..

Possible O2 sensor at fault too. Happened on my Clio, last year.

Diagnositic scan by a friend, showed the O2 sensor, bought one off ebay

€60, half an hour under the car(awkward enough, but got there :pac:).

Did the retest, flew thru and running fine.
