Cover charge and consideration

Is a cover charge for admission consideration for free services provided inside.

For example A pays €10 cover charge to enter a night club and leaves her jacket in the club's free cloak room. Jacket goes missing and A asks for compensation.

The club claims that they promised to return the jacket but a promise does not form an obligation and that there was no consideration since it was a free cloackroom.

I think the cloakroom is a service covered by the club's cover charge and the cover charge is consideration for the cloak room.

BTW I'm not asking for legal advice I don't own a club and I haven't lost a jacket I'm just curious.
