They basically say that they were disappointed with the result but they enjoyed a lot their stay. Lovely area. Nice people. Some argue that Ireland is "THE" travel to make for the rugby supporters because of the warmth and friendliness of the Irish supporters. The old guys say that's the "old" rugby they loved so much. During the game they found the atmosphere great, Very "hot" and passionate. At the end, some found that Clermont was probably a better team but didn't show enough to get the win and thus Ulster fully deserved to get the 4 points.

Great supporters, great banter with them in the last two HEC matches against Leinster. They really made their presence felt in Dublin on the match days. My favourite French team.

Amazing supporters. I remember in the RDS two years ago they were cheering louder then the staduim full of Leinster fans.

But they're a bit strange when they start jeering/cheering their own kicker.

The away trip to Clermont-Ferrand is simply unmissable.

Great to hear. Thanks for the translation iroced. Defo my 'adopted' team outside of Ireland. They're class. Really hope they up their game though... I think they seemed pretty subdued in Ravenhill (not taking anything away from Ulster who played brilliantly).

Cannot agree with this enough. The Clermont fans are without doubt the best rugby fans I've ever met. The trip over there last year has been the best rugby trip I've been on. So any Ulster fans here thinking of heading over this season should def go.

Was standing next to them on Saturday and they were great as you say. Only stange thing was when somebody was about to kick for goal, the Clermont supporter next to me put his hand to his mouth to tell others to be quiet and then slow handclapped along with other Clermont fans whether it was his own side kicking or the opposition. There were to be c1500 present at Ravenhill according to the programme and they certainly enjoyed themselves.

Yeah the clapping thing is what they do. It's actually pretty cool I think. It's not disrespectful as such and creates a good atmosphere. Not the done thing here, nor would I change that, but different isn't always bad. And we found that they observed the silence in Clermont for Johnny last year for the most part as a mark of respect. Would go back in a heartbeat.

I hate the French. They are an arrogant and snobby race of people who eat horrible food.
